    Ann Emore — Spring, Texas
    A Miracle Healing

In 1974, my husband, Warren Emore, was at work when he was struck with an excruciating pain in his stomach. The pain was so bad that he was rolling on the floor. He had been working out of town when this happened. When he came home, he went directly to the Doctors and was told that he had a bleeding ulcer and that immediate surgery was necessary.

I had invited our parish Priest to dinner a week prior to all of this happening. The same day that our priest was to come for dinner, the hospital called and said they had a bed available for my husband and could perform the surgery. The call from the hospital came a short while before our Priest was to arrive for dinner and there was no way to reach him to cancel (this was prior to the invention of cell phones). The only choice I had was to take my husband to the hospital and then hurry home for the expected arrival of our dinner guest.

As soon as he arrived, I explained the situation to our Priest. We had just sat down to dinner when my husband called and said the hospital did not have a bed for him after all and to come pick him up. We would have to reschedule his surgery. I excused myself from the dinner table and went to get my husband.

When we came home, our Priest asked if he had been prayed over and had hands laid on him. My husband and I were traditional Catholics and we had never heard of “laying on of hands.” Our Priest called my children and me over and asked us to all place our hands on him while he prayed over him.

The next day, the hospital called again and said they were ready for my husband. They did their pre-op test only to discover that there was no sign of a bleeding ulcer or any other kind of ulcer! The Doctors were amazed and we all gave the glory to our Lord! God had granted a Miracle!

(Miracle story from Guatemala in English — Vairo Chavez)
I am a man and I am from Guatemala, Central America
I am 36 years old and I want to share a Miracle that God did in my life.

In October 2005, I was working as a construction worker and I accidently made contact with a high voltage cable and received 13,000 volts of electricity. My feet exploded and they were burned. 70% of my right hand was damaged and 80% of my body suffered third degree burns. I fell approximately 23′ to the ground.

As a consequence, my legs were amputated. I was in a coma for 5 days, and one month in Intensive Care in the Guatemala hospital. It was very difficult at that time because my life changed radically. I spent three months in the hospital and went to therapy for more than a year.

After several years, I am a rehabilitated person. I serve our God and I am learning and studying to be able to help and support my family in the future. I haven’t received any economic help from any private or public institution but God never let me down or abandoned me. God has taken care of me and my sons and given me a solution through these difficulties.

There is a lot more to tell but I hope this short story will be a blessing.

(Historia de un milagro de Guatemala en español — Vairo Chavez)
Soy un hombre y vivo en Guatemala. C.A.

I was in church one night and they were praying for the offering. I looked in my purse and only found three $1 dollar bills. I mentally told God that this was a meager but meaningful offering and to forgive me for not having more. I then got up and prayed with the congregation. When I sat down I put my offering in the plate and after the service, walked out to our car. I looked in my purse again for something else and found an envelope which I did not recognize. Upon opening it, I found a note that stated, “God told me to give you this”. There in the envelope were THREE $20 DOLLAR BILLS. I was so surprised, I cried and thanked God for His love.

    Miracle on I-79

It was the summer of 2000 and the height of the car show season. I had a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Gran Coupe Convertible that was “plum crazy” purple in color. It was very rare as only 596 of these cars were ever made with only 8 painted in this color. I had the car for 8 years and gradually gotten it up to car show quality standards.

I left a car show about one hour away from where I lived a little bit early. My friend and his family was about 2 minutes behind me in his 71 Challenger. I had just finished giving thanks to God for the beautiful day and thanking him for all that he had done in my life and for all he was yet to do. Not 30 seconds after I finished this prayer while I was on I-79 going about 70 MPH when I rounded what was a blind corner in the freeway and all of a sudden cars were stopped on both lanes about 150 feet in front of me. Being a former international soccer goalie I have been blessed with very fast reflexes. I slammed on the brakes and the old school drum brakes locked up and made the car fishtail. I slid off the road and rolled the car 2 and a half times before the car came to rest right side up caught on a barbed wire fence. As the car was rolling a larger 4 foot stuffed bear that I had in the passenger side front seat as part of my display at the car show was wedged in between me and the steering wheel and acted as a modern day air bag. The passenger door glass was shattered and the top was smashed on the passenger’s side. However, The windshield glass and driver’s door glass and convertible top on my side remained amazingly intact. The glass trophy that I had won for best in class that was on the floorboard in the front seat also suffered no damage. I still have that trophy to this day. I truly believe a protective hand was around me while I was in the crashing car sitting in the driver’s seat as the rest of the car was destroyed and was eventually totaled by my insurance company.

The only damage I sustained was a cut on the side of my head that required 8 stitches. I literally walked away from the accident. Police who were on the scene and EMS responders said they were amazed I was alive and if I had been driving a more modern convertible I would not have survived. Another interesting fact is my friend in the Challenger was the next car to come on the scene. Because of all of the commotion with the accident he had slowed down to where he could safely come to a stop. His car had bad brakes and if he would have been the lead car he would have surely rear-ended the cars on the highway and likely killed his family and perhaps others.

I now have a 67 Barracuda convertible and that bear (complete with some of my blood stained on its head) still rides with me. I truly give all the glory to God thru Jesus Christ for sparing my life. Obviously he is not finished with me yet!!!

I hope that this account can be a blessing to others.

    Best wishes

Miracle on I-79 Barracuda and Air Bag BearHere is John with the red 1967 Barracuda convertible that God blessed him with after the wreck. You can see the bear that acted as his “air bag” in the back window. The car only had 35,500 miles and had been sitting in a garage in California for 20 years. He got it for half the price the man put into fixing it up. There were only a little over 4000 Barracuda Convertibles made in 1967. There are only 18 of them made like this one that are still known to exist today. The car is considered rare by old car standards. He says it gives him ways to talk about his faith to some of the guys in the car clubs in town. It just goes to show how God uses all kinds of things — including 1967 Barracuda’s — to complete His work!

I’ve been praying for the Lord to bring revival to our Government officials for 4 years every day. There are particular politicians I’ve prayed for by name & Governor Perry is one of them. I had heard several times that Governor Perry was going to have a fasting & prayer event @ Reliant Stadium to help bring us back to the Lord. In one radio add he had mentioned that Jesus Himself fasted & prayed & that we needed to also. I was excited when I had heard that add & told my wife about it. I was encouraged because I had been praying for Governor Perry specifically. I was really excited because he was not afraid to mention the name of Jesus.

Well this weekend I received the e-mail below & I was so excited I wanted to come out of my skin. The Lord is giving him the boldness to proclaim the Lord Jesus as our only hope in this day & hour as boldly as the Apostles right after Pentecost. Reading his testimony below is powerful & I believe with no hidden agendas. In this day & age this is an incredible miracle that someone in politics would be bold enough to give such a powerful testimony about their relationship w/ Jesus. I am 55 years old & I read the testimony out loud to my wife & one of my daughters. I told my youngest daughter that in my 55 years on this earth I have never heard any politician be so bold to proclaim Jesus name & the gospel.

This to me is an incredible miracle & I hope the beginning of a revival that I know many of us have been praying for for years. It seems this may not only be a miracle that has happened, but possibly an incredible beginning of a greater miracle that is yet to come, a great pouring out of God’s Spirit in this nation before Jesus returns to rapture away His Bride.

E-Mail That was received this weekend:

    Amen people, Amen.

Rick Perry to America: Pray to Jesus, or else!
The Texas governor and possible presidential hopeful says America can only solve its problems through Jesus.

    By Justin Elliott
    Texas Governor Rick Perry
Gov. Rick Perry raised some eyebrows recently when he officially declared three “Days of Prayer for Rain in the State of Texas ‚” which has been plagued by drought.
But now Perry (these days a pundit-approved possible presidential contender) is taking his advocacy for public prayer a step further. Perry is the man behind a new conservative Christian event called “The Response: A call to prayer for a nation in crisis.” It is a day of prayer and fasting to be held at Reliant Stadium in Houston in August.

Says Perry in a letter on the front page of the event’s website: “Right now, America is in crisis: we have been besieged by financial debt, terrorism, and a multitude of natural disasters. As a nation, we must come together and call upon Jesus to guide us through unprecedented struggles, and thank Him for the blessings of freedom we so richly enjoy.” Perry adds that “There is hope for America … and we will find it on our knees.”

So who else will be at The Response? “Governor Perry has invited all U.S. governors as well as many other national Christian and political leaders,” according to the event’s website. “People of all ages, races, backgrounds and Christian denominations will be in attendance to proclaim Jesus as Savior and pray for America .” The Response is being organized at Perry’s request by the American Family Association. Here’s a link to the promotional video for The Response: The Response Promo from The Response USA on Vimeo.
I’ve reached out to Perry’s spokesman to ask what the governor would say to those Americans who are not comfortable with his exhortation that they pray to Jesus, and I’ll update this post when I hear back.

Friends, Governor Rick Perry recently attended a private dinner with oil and gas businessmen trying to help secure the $2M funding for:

The Response: A Call to Prayer for a Nation in Crisis
    August 6th
    Reliant Stadium
    Houston, TX

The event was conceived, initiated and called for by Texas Governor Rick Perry. There will be no DVD sales, book sales, CD sales, T-Shirt sales, and no vendors…just water, fasting and prayer.

Below are his remarks last week in Longview :

    Governor Rick Perry
    Transcribed speech
    Longview , Texas
    May 23, 2011

In 1977, I had left the Air Force and moved home. I’ll be real honest with you I was a bit lost spiritually, and I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. So I moved in with my mother and father. Now that’s a real trip! I had been an aircraft commander, traveling all around the world, seeing amazing places that a boy from Paint Creek , Texas , had never even dreamed were out there before. I had this great epiphany during my mid twenties. As I had lived in Europe and South America and the Middle East , I saw all these different countries with different forms of government. I was actually paying attention to the dictatorships, theocracies, monarchies, democratic states, etc. I started making the connection between how those people lived and the form of government they had. It was most interesting for me, as I’d never really given that much attention to our form of government in America . Id taken for granted this extraordinary country we live in, but I came to realize that America is really a special place. Â I also made the calculation that inside that really cool place was this incredible place called Texas !

At twenty-five, twenty-six years old, it dawned on me what an incredible country we live in, and that the vast majority of the people take it for granted. They abuse the privilege of living in a free country. They don’t realize how so many other people live around the world. But with that knowledge, I went home and lived with my mom and dad. I moved back into my old room. At eighteen years old, I left to go to my beloved Texas A&M University . Nine years later, I came back into my old room. I swear to God, I know mother cleaned it, but it looked exactly like it did the day I left. It had my football number on the door, and it had the all-star football game program still stuck on the bulletin board. It was an eerie moment for me to move back home. My dad was pretty sure I was the same stupid eighteen-year-old that had left. I was pretty sure he hadn’t gotten any smarter either. So we went through this really brutal period of time of finding our comfort zone. But God was dealing with me. At twenty-seven years old, I knew that I’d been called to the ministry. I’ve just always been really stunned by how big a pulpit I was gonna have! I still am. I truly believe with all my heart that God has put me in this place at this time to do His will.

On Aug the 6th of this year, 2011, we are going to have a day of prayer and fasting. And it’s going to be the real deal. It’s not going to be some program where we line up a dozen political figures to come in and talk. It’s going to be people standing on that stage, projecting and proclaiming Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas . Let me tell you, that’s a big stadium and there will be a lot of people. But it’s going to send a powerful message across this country! Our country’s broke. Well, actually, Washington’s broke; our country’s going to be just fine. But we’ve got to have men and women who are willing to stand up to proclaim the values that this country was based upon.

In 1774, at the Continental Congress when they got together and penned that first document, they talked about life and liberty. Interestingly, the third thing they talked about was property. A couple of years later, when they actually wrote the Declaration, they changed that property to the pursuit of happiness. I just signed a piece of legislation today, the immanent domain legislation. I tell people, that personal property and the ownership of that personal property is crucial to our way of life. Our founding fathers understood that it was a very important part of the pursuit of happiness. Being able to own things that are your own is one of the things that makes America unique. But I happen to think that it’s in jeopardy.

Its in jeopardy because of taxes; it’s in jeopardy because of regulation; it’s in jeopardy because of a legal system that’s run amuck. And I think it’s time for us to just hand it over to God and say, God, You’re going to have to fix this. (I think it was Herman Cain who stood up the other day and said, How’s that Hope and Change thing working out for you?) I think it’s time for us to use our wisdom and our influence and really put it in God’s hands. That’s what I’m going to do, and I hope you’ll join me. I hope you’ll join us in Houston on the 6th day of August and really start a revival across this country.

Here’s what I want to leave you with. I know from time to time, people will say something like, There goes Perry. He wants to secede. But I love this country. We’re a special place. We were created by God-fearing individuals who understood those biblical values and how powerful they could be and would be in the future. And I suggest that for our country, our best days are ahead if we’ll get on our knees and ask God to take over and give us wisdom. I may wear the Lord out every day in prayer. I pray for this country. I pray for restoration for this country. I pray for our president every day. I pray that God turns buckets of wisdom out on his head, that God will open his eyes. We can change this country, but it requires our giving it to Him and letting Him guide us.

–“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes”.
